Raul Guevara, Bboy RA, representing 4EverFresH, Original Rudes Crew, and Fresh Format, is recognized as one of Canada’s top leading Bboys in both Western and Eastern Canada.

Dancing for over 14 years, Raul’s dedication and involvement in the Hip Hop community has influenced people across the world. 

Since 2006, Raul has led projects alongside BluePrintForLife, a company that does social work through hip hop culture. Over the years, Raul has been awarded top Dancer at Hard Lino 1, Absolute Canadian Bboy and Redbull BeatRider in NYC. 

Raul’s involvement in the Hip Hop community has led him to win over 50 break battles in North America and Europe (Serbia), judging events including Under Pressure, Cypher North, Top of the World, Dangerous Goods 10 Year Anniversary, Clyde River, NU – Hip Hop Summit 2010, and the Canadian Hip Hop Championships in Montreal. 

Raul has trained with dance pioneers including, Fluky Luke, Poppin’ Pete, Suga Pop, Mr. Wiggles, Ken Swift, and Don Camblelock. As well as, performing for dance choreographers, Shawn Cheesman, Genevieve Gagne and companies Solid State Breakdance and Moment Factory. Raul continues to teach master classes, workshops and private lessons across Canada. In 2009, Raul traveled to Belgrade, Serbia, to deliver an outreach program for Roma youth.

Currently, Raul is completing his RMT (Registered Massage Therapy) certification in Ottawa, at the International School of Massage Therapy.

Awards/Scholarships

2007- Received a “Travel Grant for Dance Professionals”, from the Canada Council for the Arts

2006 - Received “Absolute Canadian Bboy” Recognition Award. Is a prestige award given out at “Cypher North” to Canadian bboys and Bgirls who have contributed and made a difference in our community of dance. They are selected by Buddha in consultation with other Bboys and Bgirls active in the Canadian Scene. I was the first ever Western Bboy honored at these awards recognized for his years of dedication and influence in the Western Canadian Bboy scene -regarded highly as innovative and sharing of his wisdom and skills to a younger generation of Bboys. 

2006 - “Red Bull Beat Riders” - A worldwide search of 30 individuals were hand picked and given the chance of a lifetime to learn and work with legends and pioneers of Hip Hop dance and culture, at Storm King School in New York, all expenses paid for. 

2005-2006 - Invited to compete in North Americas “Red Bull King Of The Ring” featuring 32 of North Americas best Bboys, held in Toronto, Canada, for the 2nd year in a row to represent his home town Calgary, Alberta.

1999 - Awarded “Best Dancer” at Hard Lino 2-Revceived a scholarship at The Edge Dance Studio in LA, California.
